About Us

Company details
Our starting point was the Yamashina Seiki Research Institute, established before World War II, where we manufactured micrometers necessary for fine processing technology.

After the war, we started over by processing typewriter parts a symbol of peacetime industries; later, we extended our work into the manufacturing of machinery needed during that time, such as equipment for ships, power plants, and ironworks, as well as machine tools for general industries and auto parts, all of which were indispensable to postwar reconstruction.

Eventually, we ventured into research and development of surgical devices and equipment for protecting human life. Since then, our passion for saving the lives of those suffering from disease has resulted in our research regarding medical device development; accordingly, we have teamed up with doctors.
Our attitude toward production reflects our hopes for what the world will be like in 100 years. Therefore, we developed a management philosophy containing the four principles of“ we will refuse any purpose that opposes peace,” “we will find pleasure in working for conservation of the global environment,” “our advanced technologies will be used to benefit lives,” and “we will be a creative group with a pioneer spirit.” What should we do for ourselves 100 years from now, not only for interest? This thought will create a society, and Yamashina Seiki, of 100 years from now.
We boldly pursue the unknown and the unexplored to enhance the quality of life for people all over the world.
