ANAPOD™ Humi-Therm Heated Humidification System
The ANAPOD Humi-Therm Heated Humidification System provides active transtracheal heating and humidification, resulting in unequalled core temperature management, when compared to passive warming methods. In addition, the unique circuit design enables you to deliver the advantages of core temperature regulation in adult and pediatric cases throughout surgery, recovery and patient transport applications.

The innovation behind the unique ANAPOD Humi-Therm Circuit is its 100% cotton wick that’s specifically designed to saturate quickly and evenly with the use of a common syringe. As a result, set-up time is considerably reduced. Initial set up can provide up to 8 hours of operation at 2 LPM flow.

Single-limb Anesthesia Circuits
Westmed Uni-Lim™ and Pedi-Lim™ single-limb anesthesia circuits are the optimal choice for your co-axial circuits for both adults and pediatrics. These circuits feature a streamlined tube-within-a-tube design that eliminates twisting between the inspiratory and expiratory limbs. Of course, the main advantage of a co-axial circuit is that the internal inspiratory limb is warmed by the outside expiratory limb.

Circulaire® II High-Efficiency Aerosol Drug Delivery System
In 2008, the Circulaire II was developed and featured two main design improvements: (1) the thick vinyl reservoir bag of the original Circulaire was replaced with a thin-film polyethylene reservoir bag that inflates and deflates much more readily, and (2) the small center-post one-way valve was replaced by a large top-hinged one-way “flapper” valve that is instantly responsive to the patient’s inspiratory effort and does not block the flow of any aerosol particles.

These two design changes have significantly improved the aerosol delivery performance of the Circulaire II, casting it as the top performing pneumatically-driven aerosol delivery device for adults and children.

The Circulaire II uses the conserver principle to double the rate of drug delivery: i.e, approximately two times as much drug in the same time, or less, than all other nebulizers including breath-enhanced and breath-actuated designs, with the Highest FIA (Fraction of Inhalable Aerosol) of any pneumatic jet nebulizer.

Westmed is a vertically integrated medical device manufacturing company. We develop, manufacture and market both disposable and reusable anesthesia and respiratory medical devices. Established in 1992, Westmed has experienced consistent growth since its inception by understanding and addressing the changing needs of the healthcare industry.

In 1997 Westmed acquired the patented HEART® continuous nebulizers line from Vortran Medical Technologies. Westmed soon thereafter acquired the assets of Medtrac Technologies, a leader in developing and manufacturing electronic drug compliance and outcomes monitors for respiratory medication delivery systems. These acquisitions positioned Westmed for continued growth and established Westmed as a product leader in the respiratory market.

In 2002 Westmed acquired the assets of Owens-Brigham Medical Company, a diversified manufacturer of anesthesia disposables. This expanded Westmed’s product portfolio to include heated humidification, heated respiratory circuits, arterial blood gas kits, anesthesia circuits, masks and other disposables. This acquisition allowed Westmed to serve both the respiratory and the anesthesia markets.

Today, Westmed employs over 500 people worldwide. Our manufacturing, administration and customer service operations are located in Tucson, Arizona. Additionally, we have two manufacturing facilities located in Mexico, one in Nogales, Sonora and the other in Tecate, Baja California.
