Pocket Doppler Series
The UltraTec PD1 is a range of small, lightweight, high sensitivity pocket Dopplers, providing obstetric and vascular assessment tools for general practitioners, midwives and vascular specialists.
The UltraTec PD1 is available in a range of configurations to suit a wide range of applications.
The PD1 is powered by a standard 9V battery, providing over 6 hours of use.
All UltraTec PD1 units feature a built-in loudspeaker and headphone connection, with volume control, for listening to the Doppler signal.

FETATRACK DD250
Desktop Doppler with HR Display

The fetatrack®DD250 is a heart-rate detecting desktop Doppler, providing obstetric and vascular assessment tools for small clinics, doctors offices or hospitals.
The fetatrack®DD250 is a portable device, with internal, rechargeable batteries providing over 30 hours of use.
The DD250 can be run from it’s built-in mains power supply while batteries are recharged, ready for use.
The fetatrack®DD250 features interchangeable probes, with a high reliability connector and long retractile cable that reduces the need to move the unit.
Signals are easily located using the narrow-beam probes, while internal signal processing minimises noise artefacts for a clear fetal heart sound.
Heart-rate is detected using built-in correlation software and the HR is presented on a large LCD display.
Simple to operate, the DD250 is designed with a minimum number of controls.
Just one control to turn the unit on / off and to adjust the volume.
Fetal heart rate records can be kept by using the FetaTrace PC software, that is available as a monitoring package, with
the option of a wide angle monitoring transducer.

Antenatal Cardiotocograph and Intrapartum Monitoring
The fetatrack®310 offers continuous fetal monitoring in the antenatal clinic or labour ward.
The fetatrack®310 has all the necessary facilities for accurate antenatal fetal assessment in one cost effective and compact unit.
Simple to operate, the fetatrack®310 is designed with controls that are easy to learn and understand, the display is a large colour graphic LCD, LED back lit for low light environments.
The display allows the user to choose between numeric and graphical fetal heart rate data.
Fully integrated digital transducers allow you to choose the mode of operation you require, from single fetus to twins or even triplets.
Standard on the fetatrack®310 is the external toco transducer and hand held event marker, providing a means of patient indicated fetal movement.
Contoured transducers are less obtrusive and greatly aid patient comfort during extended monitoring sessions and are designed to aid correct placement.
High resolution multipoint digital autocorrelation provides accurate and reliable FHR traces.
Operators can be assured that they are getting the best, most reliable signals and a distinctive alert warns when
heart rate is out of range.
There is no loss of data when the paper runs out, as the unit will store the traces until a new pack is installed.
The user is alerted with an audible and visual signal.

Colonic Insufflator for CT Colonography

The MedicCO 2 LON provides automated colonic distension with CO 2 gas for CT colonography procedures, providing reliable colon distention while improving patient comfort.
The MedicCO 2 LON features intuitive touchscreen controls for ease of use and reliable performance.
With an LED backlit display, measurements of pressure, flow rate and volume are always visible to
the operator.
The value of CT colonography (Virtual Colonoscopy) is that it offers an accurate, rapid and minimally invasive means of imaging the large bowel, with the best results being achieved when a patient’s colon is optimally distended.
If the colon is sub-optimally distended then potentially crucial detail in the colon may be missed or distorted and
the procedure may not be as successful for identifying lesions through the entire colon.
To achieve optimal distention, automated CO 2 insufflation is now recommended during CT colonography procedures because it:
Results in negligible post- procedure discomfort.
Causes less abdominal cramping than insufflation using room air.
Is efficient in colorectal cancer patients with or without luminal narrowing.
Operates at a lower infusion pressure than manual insufflation.

Ultrasound Technologies Ltd. has been designing quality Medical Ultrasound equipment since its establishment in 1992 and our design team have more than 30 years experience in this industry.

These designers are responsible for all of Ultrasound Technologies’ products, which are well established in 90 countries worldwide.

The Company designs and manufactures in South Wales, all its products are approved to international standards and are currently exported to most countries of the world through a network of distributors and directly from our web ordering system, UltraTec Direct.

In February 2000 the Company expanded in Europe by opening a European sales and support office in Germany and during July 2001 the Company moved production, administration , marketing and design into a new facility in Caldicot, South Wales.

The Company further expanded in December 2002 with the purchase of the Doppler and Monitoring divisions of Seward Medical Ltd.

Recognition of the Companies achievements came in November 2003 when it was voted “Exporter of the Year for 2003” by Wales Trade International and the South Wales Chamber of Commerce and again in 2009 when, in association with Freeplay Energy, we won the Index “Design to Improve Life” award for a “Doppler for Africa”.
