Vial Adaptor
The Tevadaptor® portfolio contains a range of Vial Adaptors which connect to standard vials. The Vial Adaptors are sized to match all standard vial neck sizes (20 mm, 28 mm or 32 mm and a 13 mm convertor).

The Tevadaptor® Vial Adaptor is mounted on the drug vial to allow drug transfer in a closed system. Tevadaptor® is designed to be intuitive to make drug preparation and compounding easy. The Syringe Adaptor / Syringe Adaptor Lock connects with minimal effort to the vial adaptor, allowing safe drug transfer from the vial to the syringe and then to another container (e.g. a semi-rigid bottle, an infusion bag, an elastomeric pump or a medication cassette reservoir for an ambulatory infusion pump).

For multiple use vials, the Vial Adaptor’s protective cap can be used for safe and sterile vial storage.

Tevadaptor® Syringe Adaptor
The Tevadaptor® Syringe Adaptor fits any standard luer lock syringe. It allows, together with the other Tevadaptor® components, safe drug transfer from the vial to another container. The Tevadaptor® Syringe Adaptor is designed to be intuitive and easy to use.

The Syringe Adaptor connects to the Vial Adaptor, allowing safe drug transfer from the vial to the syringe. During attachment the “click” sound indicates a safe connection. The self-sealing elastomers prevent antineoplastic and other hazardous drug leakage and droplet formation on the outer septa surfaces.

Together the Syringe Adaptor and the Vial Adaptor allow simple connection, withdrawal and transfer of any drug form. Drug withdrawal requires no additional steps due to the automatic pressure equilibrium created by the Toxi-Guard® mechanism in the Vial Adaptor.

A simple push on the Syringe Adaptor wings will disconnect it from the Vial Adaptor. In this manner, safe drug transfer from the vial to another container is made possible (e.g. a semi-rigid bottle, an infusion bag, an elastomeric pump or a medication cassette reservoir for an ambulatory infusion pump). For bolus injections the protective cap allows clean delivery to the ward.

Toxi-Guard®
Tevadaptor®’s patented Toxi-Guard® system, located in the Vial Adaptor, prevents the escape of cytotoxic and other hazardous drug vapors, aerosols and droplets into the environment during drug reconstitution, and prevents airborne contaminants and particles from entering the drug or fluid path. At the same time, Toxi-Guard® ensures smooth, effortless vial pressure equalization during use.

Drug containment in the Tevadaptor® Vial Adaptor is accomplished by Toxi-Guard®’s patented double membrane air-cleaning technology: a 100% activated carbon drug binding matrix and a 0.2 μm hydrophobic and oleophobic membrane. This advanced technology also ensures that the Tevadaptor® air pathway allows only sterile air to enter the drug vial during drug reconstitution and preparation

Luer Lock Adaptor
The Tevadaptor® Luer Lock Adaptor converts any standard female luer lock port (e.g. patient access port) to a safe and closed Tevadaptor® connection.

The luer lock adaptor must be connected to the patient’s port. Once a Syringe Adaptor / Syringe Adaptor Lock is connected to the Luer Lock Adaptor, the drug can be administered to the patient safely either by push (via syringe) or IV drip (via IV set).

During attachment the “click” sound indicates a safe and secure connection. The self-sealing elastomers prevent antineoplastic and other hazardous drug leakage and droplet formation on the outer septa surfaces. A simple push on the wings of the Syringe Adaptor will disconnect them from the Luer Lock Adaptor.

In case of subcutaneous (SC) or intramuscular (IM) administration, it is possible to connect the Luer Lock Adaptor directly to the SC or IM needle.

Cyto IV Set with 0.2 Micron Filter
The Tevadaptor® Cyto IV Set with 0.2 micron filter firmly connects between a standard IV bag or a polyethylene container and to any patient’s IV catheter via a luer lock connection. The 0.2 micron filter set is intended for use with any drug that needs to be micro-filtered upon administration such as Paclitaxel.

A safe drug transfer from the syringe into the IV bag or container is installed through the Cyto IV set’s closed connection with the Tevadaptor® Syringe Adaptor / Syringe Adaptor Lock. During manipulation the “click” sound indicates a safe and secure connection between the 2 components.

Vented IV Administration (Giving) Set for Paclitaxel
The vented IV administration sets offer customized sets for administration of Paclitaxel or other viscous drugs or drugs that require in-line filtering. The vented IV administration set for Paclitaxel with 0.2 micron filter and vented spike allows comfortable and simple Paclitaxel administration via a luer lock connection.

This set replaces the need for an external filter and a separate IV administration set. The Paclitaxel general infusion sets provide luer lock access points to the patient’s IV port. The Paclitaxel sets have an option for an additional needleless injection site.
