Boscarol’s bags and rucksacks are the result of years of study and cooperation with doctors and rescuers, with experts in the
field of sea and alpine rescue teams besides international civil protection.
Opposite to what is often thought, our medical bags and rucksacks are specially manufactured through particular processes that include the choice of the material which must be resistant to mechanical strain, specifi c sewing and block-free zippers easy to open although self protection devices are involved.

Immobilization
Immobilization devices have only entered the rescue fi eld for few years now, providing traumatized patients huge benefi ts in terms of fi rst aid. The studies performed by our project department and the cooperation with the emergency personnel helped with the design of a wide range of specifi c products. Our devices are suitable for limbs and body immobilization, they allow the correct lifting and safe transport activity of polytraumatized patients. Extrication devices, vacuum mattresses, pneumatic splints, rigid and soft cervical collars are just some of the products we have under this category.

Boscarol medication line features diff erent typologies of medical devices including those suitable for wound treatment, compressive bendage, haemostasis, intraosseus and intravenous injection treatments besides basic surgical instruments.
In this category it is possible to identify specifi c sets properly designed for particular medical situations such as amputation, burns, emergency deliveries and infection preventions. In this family self-protection devices are also included together with complete kits to preserve health and safety on working places (D.L. 81/2008).

Back in the year 2000 the Oscar Boscarol srl started the development of this family of product by using the most innovating production and design techniques available.
All of the products under this category are specifically designed to be mounted on emergency vehicles as kits and particularly suitable for emergency systems and field ambulance activities. Thanks to their reliability they are also worldwide distributed both in hospital and in domestic application alike.
All the devices have been strictly tested in order to fulfill all current regulatory issues in terms of compatibility with oxygen as per ISO15001: feasibility studies, risk analysis and usability researches have been scrupulously performed in order to make them fully compliant to the medical field; for this reason, special superficial processes was undertaken to satisfy bio-compatibility.
All pressure reducers are classified as IIb class of risk accordingly to the 93/42/CEE .

Suction Unit
The range of Boscarol’s Medical Suction Unit is the result of accurate design processes, use analysis and conformity to all current norms. Since they first entered the marketplace back in the 90’s, our suction units have been adapted and designed in order to match all new specifi c use requests.
Our devices are manufactured to be used in the fi eld of emergency, reanimation, first aid activities and home care for obstructed patient upper airways that may cause an impediment in the natural breathing process.
Available with diff erent power and dimensions, our suction units are meant to be installed on emergency vehicles and rescue aircrafts. Due to their special structure and handily use they can be successfully used in the army as well.
Made with special material resistant to the wearing eff ect of time and suitable to their particular use our devices are extremely reliable and easy to use: in fact they have successfully passed all tests accordingly to IEC60601-1-11 norm dealing
with the use of medical devices by laic personnel.
Our suction units are entirely manufactured in Italy by our headquarter based in Bolzano and all productive processes are oriented towards the full respect of environment, energy conservation, use of clean energy produced in establishments
which are not using fossil fuels and towards the protection of end users concerning the choice of raw materials.
The Boscarol company constantly applies a quality system on all managing and production processes and holds the II enclosure for medical devices CE marked accordingly to what established by Legislative Act 46/97.

About Us

Company details
The Oscar Boscarol S.r.l. was named after its founder that, back in 1987, decided he should establish a company based in the town of Bolzano, in the heart of South Tyrol Alps, that might provide specific quality products for emergency and civil protection activities in which field he had been maturing a 20 years experience.

Oscar Boscarol was born in 1954 in Bolzano where he entered the group of Red Cross volunteers at a very young age. He got the qualification for professional nurse, working in the Emergency Room of Bolzano hospital.
After several years spent as a volunteer and collaborator for the Military Section of the Red Cross and aiming to train local inhabitants on emergency skills, Oscar thought it was the time to start a commercial venture aiming to simplify volunteers everyday’s job.

The first trips to Italy and Germany allowed him to import highly technological products, specific for their use on ambulances that, at the time were merely used for patients and wounded people transportation. The first importation of emergency products from companies still unknown in Italy also begun.
The continuous contacts with foreign emergency cultures helped him to understand what was really missing in the field, also because most of the products that was on the market at that time were merely hospital oriented ones and not specifical for the emergency.
He then decided he should undertake the activity of manufacturer by creating the first emergency bag, the Rescue Bag, which is today the most copied bag worldwide of this kind and, later the 3B Medical Suction Unit created together with long time friend and Red Cross colleague from which the family of medical devices has been developing.
At the beginning of the year 2000, together with his wife Elisabeth Ebner, now President, he founded the Oscarol Boscarol srl and kept on acquiring wider and wider working areas and expanding the products range. As a support for project and products design Mr. Daniele Brazzo entered the company, now General Manager.

In the year 2006 the construction of the new building for the current company headquarter started and ended at the beginning of 2009. The new working place, modern and based on eco-sustainability principles, helped improving the working atmosphere thus strengthening its team and encouraging new ideas development.
Meanwhile, Oscar Boscarol got seriously sick and passed away by the end of 2009.

Oscar Boscarol srl has always encouraged the research for vanguard solutions, with compelling quality that might match the operators needs during emergency activities. This is the main spirit that led our products to become a helping hand and an indispensable support and constant reference for all insiders.
Today the Oscar Boscarol srl is leader worldwide directing to foreign markets half of its production.
