HUMAN DIAGNOSTICS
These tests are based on the immunological capture of colored microbeads during its passage along a membrane on which the monoclonal antibody has been immobilized. Lateral flow are produced using latex particles which allow to distinguish different colours in the result and control lines (PINK/RED, BLUE, GREEN, PURPLE). This fact makes our tests very attractive for the end-user. We have been producing some of these tests for more than twenty-five years.

We offer Rapid lateral flow tests for human diagnostics: gastrointestinal, respiratory, tropical diseases, food intolerances, tumor markers and others (hCG, HBsAg)

About Us

Company details
OPERON was established 1973 as a private R&D laboratory in the field of immunochemistry. Initially, the target of the company was to satisfy the needs of the Spanish market. Three years later, the strategy changed focusing on the international market.

The initial products were immuno-plates, polyclonal antibodies labelled with peroxidase and fluorescein and the agglutination latex products.

In 1983 OPERON started selling reagents in bulk to multinational companies.
In 1986 the research of monoclonal antibodies was iniciated. OPERON was a pioneer in Spain in this field.
And the first immunochromatographic test, a pregnancy test, was produced and sold in 1992.
The expresion of recombinant antigens were started in 2002.
Two new product lines were launched in 2006: ready-to-use ELISA and Molecular Diagnostic kits.

Nowadays, we are exporting to 50 countries around the world and our main product lines are the following:

Immunocromatography: rapid lateral flow tests.
Molecular Diagnostic tests: Opegen and OligoGen.
Customized services: contract manufacturing of lateral flow tests and raw materials.
