We were established in 1941 , when the company founder Kenichi Komatsu founded Komatsu Seisakusho at the present day location of the company head office (Ota-ku, Tokyo). Since then we have worked consistently hard in the design and manufacture of springs, displaying developmental ingenuity to become one of the world leaders in the field of precision springs and playing a leading role in the precision mechanical equipment industry.

In the beginning, we were primarily a factory specializing in the development of precision springs for camera shutters, however, in response to demand from other industries, we gradually expanded into becoming a specialized spring maker for the clock, electric appliance, communication device, OA device, vehicle part and other precision device industries, expanding our technical skills and especially taking pride in ourselves for being peerless in the high precision spring technology industry.
