PTFE Surgical Sutures
Golnit PTFE sutures are an excellent choice for any periodontal, bone graft or implant surgery. Thanks to being completely non-absorbable and biologically inert, these sutures cause minimal inflammatory response in the moist environment of the oral cavity.

The Golnit® ePTFE sutures are also highly popular in cardiovascular surgeries. The ePTFE material is porous and is about 50% air by volume. It is also extremely light, soft, with no packaging memory and excellent biocompatibility profile. Thanks to its design, the ePTFE suture is exceptionally useful during procedures where the bleeding is a risk factor:

Needle-hole bleeding reduction: The unique suture design, based on Golnit’s proprietary technology, allows achieving a 1:1 needle/suture diameter ratio. Because the needle diameter is equal or smaller in size than the suture diameter, the fiber fills the hole as it passes through the tissue, resulting in less bleeding to the surgical site.

Premium Sharp needles: Sutures are made with high-grade (AISI 302) stainless steel quality needles that remain sharp pass after pass limiting trauma to tissues.

Superior physical and biological characteristics: ePTFE sutures are completely biocompatible and foster a benign tissue response. The sutures are also easy to handle, are very soft and flexible.

Established in 1987, Golnit Ltd has been delivering excellence in design, manufacturing, and distribution of absorbable and non-absorbable surgical sutures. We are based in the capital of Ukraine and are the most recognized domestic suture company for many years with a focus on quality.

Golnit’s manufacturing facility is equipped with a validated, ISO 7 Class Cleanroom. We have an in-house Quality Control Laboratory and a validated ETO sterilization system. Our quality system is ISO 13485:2016 certified with Presafe, a DNV GL company.

We manufacture an entire range of absorbable and non-absorbable surgical sutures from U.S.P. size 10-0 to size 8 for all kinds of surgical applications, including: cardiovascular, neurological, gynecological, trauma, abdominal, ophthalmic, dental, aesthetic, and general surgeries.
In 2011 Golnit launched its PTFE suture product line that has become an instant success within the surgical community worldwide.
