Ernst & Engbring GmbH develop and manufacture a variety of customized special cables for complex medical devices and systems. Our cables are used in almost all areas of modern medical technology.

State-of-the-art technology in the smallest possible space
Ernst & Engbring is responding to the trend towards ever smaller, more compact devices with special medical cables such as miniature cables and flat cables. Based on our many years of experience, we develop and manufacture tailor-made cable solutions up to AWG 56 (conductor diameter 0.0124 mm).

These are already completely ready for installation and have been developed exactly to customer requirements. So our customers benefit from significantly optimized workflows.

In-house assembly department for cable systems
In order for our customers to benefit from greater efficiency, it is crucial to implement the cable systems precisely according to their specifications. That’s why we have our own in-house department that individually assembles the cable systems. On request, we equip our cables with connectors, and/or sensors, for example. Your effort for the further use or processing of the cables is considerably reduced.

We also manufacture spiral cables
You need your cable system as spiral cable and pre-shaped? Ernst & Engbring is the right partner for you. Our product dimensions start with lengths of ten mm and diameters of three mm. Within this framework, we are also happy to develop and produce special solutions for you – tailor-made for your application.

Who we are, what we do and what we offer

Founded in 1952, Ernst & Engbring GmbH (short E&E) is an internationally active development partner and manufacturer of high-grade special cables for a wide range of applications such as automation, plant and machinery and medical technology. With over 450 employees we operate the most modern cable plants and production facilities in and outside Europe – in Germany with the headquarter in Oer-Erkenschwick and a cable plant in Forst. Furthermore with production sites in Kiev (Ukraine) and Zhangjiagang near Shanghai (China).

We make long-lasting, customized special cables. We can supply them also as high-quality spiral cables or plug-and-play cable systems – exactly to your requirements. The cables designed for medical technology applications are flexible and robust, biocompatible, sterilizable, antimicrobial and silicone-free.

Thanks to our know-how and our comprehensive knowledge of the market we can develop and manufacture our cable solutions exactly to your special application. We support you from Day One – from the planning and the prototype phase through the function and load tests in our own test laboratory and the project work, right up to the manufacturing and assembly phase of the individual special cables in accordance with your specific needs.
