IES 3 smoke evacuation system protects the OR team and patients

Safe working environment with the IES 3: One core component of the 5-stage main filter cartridge is the ULPA*-15 filter which retains 99.995% of all 0.1 μm particles.

Thanks to bi-turbo technology and the good response behavior, evacuation is fast and effective and can be activated automatically or using a footswitch. Thus, the user always has a good view of the surgical site.

In addition to the evacuation unit, the individually configurable overall system includes various instruments and accessories for open or laparoscopic surgery.

Flexible cryoprobes expand applications in interventional pulmonology

Our flexible cryosurgical technology has been used in medicine for more than two decades. It is developing more and more into a leading technology for therapeutic and diagnostic applications. Now our new flexible cryoprobes for single use are available in different sizes.Using cryoprobes, pneumologists can work very successfully in treating respiratory diseases. The probes can be used for various applications:

Cryoextraction makes it possible to remove not only foreign bodies, but also mucus plugs, blood clots, necrotic tissue, tissue tumors (recanalization) and biopsy material. With cryodevitalization, tissue can be destroyed by extreme cold.

The new 1.1-mm probe and the oversheath make it possible to leave the bronchoscope inserted at the target area for cryobiopsies. This enables continuous monitoring. The probe and biopsy material pass through the oversheath, which protects the biopsy material, thereby maintaining the high quality of the biopsy. This allows for shorter response times in complication management, for example in the case of bleeding.

Furthermore, the 1.1-mm cryoprobe expands compatibility and permits new applications, such as biopsies by navigation catheter or with small bronchoscopes with a working channel of just 1.2 mm.

The fact that the new flexible cryoprobes for single use do not need to be reprocessed after use saves time and money. Stable technical performance enables consistent tissue effects and thus improved standardization of flexible cryo applications
