DemeSORB – Polyglycolic Acid, PGA
Suture Material
DemeTECH’s Polyglycolic Acid (PGA) suture is a coated, braided synthetic absorbable suture, composed of the homopolymer of glycolic acid and coated with polycaprolactone and calcium stearate. The PGA Suture is available in violet and colorless from sizes:
USP 8/0 to USP 2.
Intended Use
PGA Suture is indicated for use in general soft tissue approximation and / or ligation, including use in ophthalmic surgery.
Product category: Disposable articles for hospitals
DemeLENE MESH
The DemeLENE MESH™ is a nonabsorbable mesh used to reinforce or bridge inguinal hernia deficiencies to provide extended support during and following wound healing.
Animal studies show that implantation of DemeTECH® MESH elicits a minimum to slight inflammatory reaction, which is transient, and is followed by the deposition of a thin fibrous layer of tissue which can grow through the interstices of the mesh, thus incorporating the mesh into adjacent tissue.
The mesh remains soft and pliable, and normal wound healing is not noticeably impaired. The material is neither absorbed nor is it subject to degradation or weakening by the action of tissue enzymes.

DemeWAX
Is sterile bone wax, a sterile mixture of White Bees wax, Hard Paraffin and Isopropyl Palmitate, a wax softening agent. DEMEWAX is opaque and has a waxy odor. May be used for the control of bleeding from bone surfaces. DEMEWAX achieves local haemostasis of bone by acting as a mechanical (tamponade) barrier. It does not act bio chemically and is minimally resorbable. DEMEWAX should not be used where rapid osseous regeneration and fusion are desired
WARNINGS:
DEMEWAX should not be re sterilized or subjected to excessive heat. May inhibit osteogenesis and may act as a physical barrier to the reparative process. Do not use if package is opened or damaged. Discard opened, unused bone wax.
Should be used sparingly. Excess should be removed from the operative site. The package should be opened just prior to use to minimize the possibility of contamination and excessive drying.
ADVERSE REACTIONS:
Mild inflammatory reactions have been reported in tissues imme- diately adjacent to the site of implantation. Studies have suggested that bone wax as a foreign body may impair the ability of cancellous bone to clear bacteria. In animal models, the local accumulation of foreign body giant cells has been observed and histologic examination has revealed the appearance of macrophages and occasionally polymorphonuclear leukocytes and lymphocytes.

DemeTECH PTFE
Suture Material
DemeTECH PTFE Suture is a monofilament synthetic, non-absorbable, sterile surgical suture composed of high-density polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). PTFE Suture is provided undyed (White). PTFE Suture contains no coatings, dyes, or additives. PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) suture is MR Safe.
DemeTECH PTFE suture meets all requirements established by the United States Pharmacopeia (U.S.P.) for Nonabsorbable Surgical Suture, except for diameter.
INTENDED USE
PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) suture is indicated for use in all types of soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, including dental and general surgeries.
ACTIONS
PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) suture has been shown in clinical trials to elicit a minimal reaction in tissues. PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) suture is not absorbed, nor is any significant change in tensile strength retention known to occur in vivo.
