At Bluewave Insurance we have created a robust technological platform that uses USSD Code and Mobile apps that offers the African Mass Market easy, accessible and affordable insurance products directly from their mobile phones.
Our innovation is driven by the fact that most conventional insurance products are designed with complex onboarding processes, leaving most of the distribution of insurance products heavily reliant on brokers or sales agents and further forcing the cost of premiums up.
This is a key barrier that has led to insurance penetration in Africa to stagnate at almost 3% across all years.
Our innovation, therefore, is geared towards addressing how the mass market in Africa address risks and therefore reducing the negative effect on their lives that further deprives the already poor Africans to further suffering.
