Handheld lactate device
The device consists of two components: the test cartridge and a handheld reader. Our lactate device can be used by sports medicine professionals to evaluate physical performance and to establish optimum training for athletes. The test results are wirelessly transmitted to our custom apps and to the medical records.
Our second product (under development) is a test panel with lactate and other relevant sports tests to better manage the training for athletes. The new test cartridge will work in conjunction with the same handheld reader.

Bailrigg Diagnostics Ltd (formerly ‘eBiogen’) is a medtech company that focuses on the development of point-of-care testing device for blood. Our clinical and sports priorities are led by the pathologists in the National Health Service (NHS) UK and sports physicians/trainers in Isokinetic London respectively.
Our clinical priorities include sepsis, cancer, myocardial infarction and chronic kidney disease.
Our first product is a handheld blood lactate analyser. It consists of two components: the test cartridge and a handheld reader which directly links the device to custom mobile app for electronic data transmission. The device takes a drop of blood and gives more accurate/reliable results under a minute. In addition our patent protected technology is easy to use, low cost and multiple blood parameters can be measured using the same sample.
This device can be used by sports medicine professionals to evaluate physical performance and to establish optimum training regimens for athletes.
