N-butyl Cyanoacrylate Medical Glue for Wound Closure
N-butyl cyanoacrylate(nBCA) is the approved material by the Food and Drug Administration, which is widely used as a tissue adhesive for wound closure.

For a long time, sutures have been widely used in surgery, but can cause trauma to the applied site or surrounding tissues, and it is difficult to prevent leakage of blood, body fluids, and air when used in tissues with a weak cohesive force such as lung, liver, and kidney or tissues with strong pressure such as blood vessels. Therefore, cyanoacrylate adhesive is developed to overcome these disadvantages.

Furthermore, n-butyl cyanoacrylate is not only applied to the skin but also used in many medical disciplines including internal embolization of vascular and lymphatic pathology, arterial pseudoaneurysms, endoleaks, and vascular tumors.
