Introduction

Prosan International B.V. is an establishment for providing to the medical community Medical Devices for prevention of conception.

Prosan International B.V., a medical device company, was founded on the 5th October 1989, and has been located in Arnhem – The Netherlands since September 1998.

The general goal of Prosan International B.V. is to produce and sell newly designed copper Intra-Uterine Devices (IUDs) under the brand name Flexi-T, such that we can assure the patients and users of our products, that these may be used safely on a patient and that the products function according to their intended use. Flexi-T IUDs are intended for Intra Uterine Contraception for parous and nulliparous women, postcoital interception. Flexi-T is developed to optimize efficacy and to reduce unwanted side effects to a minimum.

Flexi-T IUDs are produced in The Netherlands, according to the requirements of the Medical Device Directive 93/42/EEC and NEN- EN-ISO 7439.

The area of sales, mainly to distributors, was initially concentrated in the countries of the E.E.A., but meanwhile more and more sales are made to countries located in North Africa, The Middle East, The America’s, Canada, Asia, and nations formerly known as East-Bloc countries.
