Clippard Minimatic® Quick Exhaust Valves
Clippard’s J-Series Exhaust Valve offers a variety of design features and provides fast response times and high flow with 1/8” and 1/4” NPT ports. This compact poppet type valve is constructed of brass and is 100% tested to assure the highest quality. The JEV’s primary function is to increase cylinder speed. However, it also enables the use of smaller directional valves, longer control lines and can be used as a shuttle valve.

Flow Controls
Clippard offers four styles of adjustable flow controls with #10-32 through 3/8″ NPT ports. These precision flow control valves are ideal for use with pneumatic cylinders, providing a slow extend stroke while allowing a fast retract stroke. Flow control valves are also used for delay functions when using air pilot valves.

Clippard Speed Control Mufflers
Clippard’s speed control mufflers utilize porous sintered bronze air mesh to reduce the sound as well as control the flow rate from valves, cylinders and other pneumatic products during exhaust. T knurled knob length is based on the minimum thread engagement. Available with 1/8”, 1/4”, 3/8” and 1/2” pipe threads. 40 micron filter.

Adjustable control needle valves restrict flow in both directions. There are eight models offered by Clippard with various ports and needle configurations to provide coarse or fine flow adjustment. The diagram of needle shapes and the part show the difference between these models.

Founded in 1941 by W. L. Clippard, Jr., the company started out manufacturing electronic test equipment. In the 1950’s, Mr. Clippard recognized a need for miniature pneumatic devices in manufacturing, and began to produce a small line of component products. The appeal of these products was such that by the late 1960’s, Clippard Instrument Laboratory was strictly a pneumatic manufacturer.

The company has continued to have steady growth through the years bolstered by periodic introductions of new and innovative products. These have included such products as the Modular series and the Mouse Valve series; the Electronic Proportional Valves, and Electronic Manifold Cards.

Today, the company remains family-owned and operated. Manufacturing facilities are located in Cincinnati and Fairfield, Ohio; as well as a distribution and technical support center in Louvain-La-Neuve, Belgium.
