Any porous structure can be impregnated with powder form additives, leading to a wide range of application in the Medical industry.
An example of application is the functional dressing. A large range of additives are available in powder form (anti-microbial, hemostatic, absorbent…) which can be advantageously combined with nonwoven or foam structures. Fibroline developed the S-Preg impregnation technology, perfectly adapted to the wound dressing business. The precise control of the dose and management of the Z-axis distribution allows a controlled release of the substance, while eliminating any solvent.
Fibroline impregnation solutions are also able to impregnate additives into textiles such as gauzes.
