Forceps and Tweezers
The production of forceps has been accompanying the company since its establishment, and their range covers almost all known patterns from the standard to the typically specialized models.
They are based on high quality stainless steel and titanium. Forceps are made in a wide range of sizes and shapes with precisely selected functional parameters depending on the intended use. Forceps with a round handle are most often offered with diamond tips for a more secure tissue or suture holder. Most popular are titanium models due to their lower weight and the need for non-magnetic materials eg for neurosurgical operations carried out in the magnetic field.

Needle holders
Needle holders are used for keeping the needle during the procedure and are also helpful in tying sutures. They come in a variety of shapes and sizes depending on the type of suture and the nature of the tissue being sutures. The assortment consists mainly of micro needle holders made of stainless steel and titanium. Stainless steel is above all a high corrosion resistance, and titanium has additionally an appropriate relation of strength to weight of the material.

The working parts of micro needle holders are diamond-coated for a better needle grip. Titanium models with stainless steel locks are available. These types of needles combine all the advantages of titanium and steel properties to ensure smooth and stable lock operation during a variety of procedures.

Vessel clamps
This group of products is useful during vascular surgery. They are used to close vessels, ensuring an even distribution of pressure on the entire surface of the vessel wall.
It is characterized by optimal shape and low weight while maintaining the necessary strength. They can be used for various types of vessels, arteries and aorta.

Chirmed manufactures vascular clamps made of stainless steel and titanium. Stainless steel has primarily a high resistance to corrosion and high temperatures. However, titanium additionally guarantees the right strength-to-weight ratio of the material.

Scissors with a wide range of applications also have a permanent place in the offer.
They are made of the highest quality steel, thanks to which they are characterized by adequate durability. They guarantee the desired cutting precision and high resistance to bluntness. Scissors pass rigorous tests in this area, which translates into their high functionality.

This group of products is useful during vascular surgery.
The range of products includes:

Vessel probes (dilators) in sizes from 0.7 mm to 5.0 mm
Suction tubes (suction cannulas) used for suctioning blood and other body fluids during surgical procedures. They increase the visibility of the operating field. And among them Yankauer model with a round removable tip, models with adjustable suction force, with one or more holes placed on a round tip.

The material used on the handle of orthopedic instruments is Radel®PPSU (Tecason). This material is distinguished by high temperature resistance during sterilization, good biocompatibility and mechanical strength. It is also characterized by adequate stiffness at different temperatures and resistance on high energy radiation.

Titanium instruments
The Chirmed company has been producing titanium instruments since the 1970s. It is worth noting how many benefits come from using this type of material, which works well in various types of medical instruments.
Among the advantages of instruments made of titanium one should first of all mention excellent corrosion resistance as well as high durability. Almost unlimited lifespan makes titanium an extremely cost-effective material. It is the most biocompatible of all metals due to its excellent resistance to body fluids. That’s why it works well during all surgical procedures. Titanium instruments have excellent resistance to crevice corrosion, which proves their superiority over instruments made of stainless steel.

It is a manufacturer of surgical and dental instruments and non-medical components made of stainless steel and titanium. From the beginning of its existence, that is from 1946, it prides itself on the high quality of its products, and the motto of the company is the slogan “From idea to solution”, which means that all products are manufactured on site in one hundred percent without the use of semi-finished products and without participation of subcontractors. The best raw materials available on the market are used for production, and the knowledge, experience and practical skills of employees are a source of pride.

CHIRMED is a company with traditions and tries to base itself on tradition, but throughout its existence it aims to improve itself, keeps track of the latest achievements in its field, thanks to which it uses modern technologies to produce its instruments.
